Neil S. Braun, Dean, Lubin School of Business
Neil S. Braun has served as the Dean of Pace University's Lubin School of Business in New York since July 2010. He currently serves on the board of directors of IMAX Corporation and national anti-hunger organization Share Our Strength, and he has previously been President of the NBC Television Network, Chairman and CEO of Viacom Entertainment, an internet and environmental entrepreneur, a film producer, and a corporate attorney. Mr. Braun has taught an MBA course in economic models of media and entertainment at the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. He holds a BA from the University of Pennsylvania and a JD from the University of Chicago Law School.

Bruce Bachenheimer, Executive Director, Entrepreneurship Lab
Bruce Bachenheimer is a Clinical Professor of Management, the Executive Director of the Entrepreneurship Lab at Pace University and a Faculty Fellow of the Wilson Center for Social Entrepreneurship at Pace University. He teaches undergraduate and graduate courses, primarily in the areas of entrepreneurship, management, and strategy. Mr. Bachenheimer is a member of the Board and past Chair of the New York City Chapter of the MIT Enterprise Forum. He serves on the Board of Directors & Advisors of LeadAmerica and has served as a consultant to the New York City Department of Small Business Services and the New York City Economic Development Corporation. He is also the organizer of the Pace Business Plan Competition and the Pace Pitch Contest.

Mitchell J. Barnett, Vice Chairman, Cushman & Wakefield
Mitchell J. Barnett has been a member of Cushman & Wakefield since graduating Northwestern University in 1984. As a Vice Chairman of the firm, Mr. Barnett has represented many prestigious corporations, financial institutions and partnerships negotiating leases with an aggregate value of over $2.5 billion. Mr. Barnett specializes in tenant representation in the New York Region, with particular emphasis on New York City. He has received Cushman & Wakefield’s highly coveted National Deal of the Year Award twice and is consistently recognized as one of the firm’s “best of the best.” Mr. Barnett heads a team within Cushman & Wakefield along with Jonathan Serko, Barry Zeller and Gary Greenspan. Mr. Barnett graduated in 1984 with a BA from Northwestern University. He is an active member of the Real Estate Board of New York. He is a resident of Muttontown, New York where he lives with his wife Stephanie and three children, where community activities include leadership in the town’s Athletic Association.

 

 

Ashling T. Ganes, Project Manager, Cushman & Wakefield
Ashling T. Ganes joined the Project Management Group at Cushman & Wakefield’s New York headquarters in 2011.  In this capacity she serves as the primary liaison to clientsfor project requirements and is responsible for the execution of day to day activities of the entire project team consisting of both internal staff and external project consultants to ensure that projects are completed successfully – on time and within budget. Prior to Cushman & Wakefield, Ashling was a Project Manager for J. A. Jennings Inc (General Contractor).  Ashling also worked for Turner Construction Company as a Project Superintendent managing the construction of the New York Cruise Terminal and waterfront work for the New York City Economic Development Corporation.  Prior to her work in the corporate world, Ashling was a decorated United States Army Engineer Officer. Ashling received her Master of Science - Engineering Management from the University of Missouri - Rolla and Bachelor of Science - Civil Engineering from the United States Military Academy – West Point.

 

 

William R. Lee III, Associate Director, Cushman & Wakefield
Bill Lee is an Associate Director in C&W’s Manhattan World Headquarters Office. He specializes in providing first hand market intelligence and brokerage expertise, while focusing on acquisitions and dispositions on behalf of corporate clients. Mr. Lee began his corporate real estate career at Insignia/ESG in Manhattan. Mr. Lee was successful in the marketing and disposition of more than half a million rentable square feet. Mr. Lee was a member of the internal disposition and acquisition team that executed a combined acquisition of 53,000 RSF in Downtown and Midtown Manhattan and New Jersey. Mr. Lee’s affiliations and memberships include: Chairman of the Young Alumni Association at Fordham University; President and Member of the Board of Directors for the CMG Foundation; President of Opera Singer's Initiative; Member of the Development Committee of the Nature Conservancy; and Member of Go Local and Beyond Mr. Lee graduated from Fordham University with a BA in English and a concentration in Real Estate Finance.

 

Kenneth J. McCarthy, Chief Economist, Cushman & Wakefield
Ken McCarthy has been with Cushman & Wakefield since August 2006. As Chief Economist, he is responsible for preparing C&W’s US and global economic analysis, as well as working with the New York City research organization to track and analyze activities. Prior to joining C&W, Mr. McCarthy served as Chief Economist of The Center for Innovative Entrepreneurship.  Prior to taking this position Mr. McCarthy was Chief Economist for vFinance, Inc. He oversaw all of the company’s economic analysis and research including the vFinance Entrepreneurial Confidence Index. For 10 years prior to joining vFinance, Mr. McCarthy headed the Economic Intelligence Company (EIC). At EIC, Ken provided economic analysis for the supply chain teams at both Ingersoll-Rand Company and Alcoa. Ken was also associated for 14 years with Rinfret Associates, Inc., an international intelligence firm headed by prominent economist Pierre Rinfret, where he served as Senior Vice President. Ken received a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from St. Anselm College in New Hampshire, a Master of Arts degree from Fordham University. Ken is a member of the Research Roundtable of the Steven L Newman Real Estate Institute of Baruch College. He also serves as a member of the advisory panel of the New York City Office of Management and Budget.

 

 

Jonathan Serko, Vice Chairman, Cushman & Wakefield
Jonathan R. Serko is one of the most accomplished real estate professionals in the industry, with over 27 years of commercial real estate experience. He has been involved with millions of square feet of real estate lease and sales transactions, with an aggregate value of over $7 billion. His clients have included: NASDAQ, AIG, American General Corporation, Ohio State Teachers Retirement Fund, S.L. Green, Boston Properties, the Mt. Sinai Medical Center, American Cancer Society, The Toronto Dominion Bank, L-3 Communications, US Life and Loews Corporation. As a Vice Chairman of the World Headquarters of C&W, he is the recipient of multiple awards, including Deal of the Year in 1995, 2000, and 2004. Mr. Serko was designated a Top 100 Brokerage Professional in the nation during his 21 year tenure at C&W. In 2005, Mr. Serko was named as one of CoStar’s Power Brokers, part of an elite list of 21 chosen from more than 1,500 professionals. Major media, including The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, New York Post, Daily News, Real Estate Forum, Real Estate New York, Crain’s New York Business, and Globe Street, have featured his transactions and he appears frequently in the industries’ top periodicals and news stories.
