Bill Deutch, Creator/Executive Producer, Hiring America

Mr. Deutch has over 10 years experience in the development and production of media properties. Mr. Deutch created and led the development of Hiring America, the first employment TV program for transitioning veterans. The program currently is distributed to 80 television markets nationwide, the Pentagon Channel and on the American Forces Network News Channel.

Mr. Deutch has founded several companies focused on developing interactive media properties including Access Propeller Holdings, Inc. which identifies and acquires Scandinavian mobile technology for distribution in the United States.  He has held positions as a management consultant and has worked in the entertainment industry at such companies as the William Morris Agency. Mr. Deutch received an A.B. from Georgetown University in 1993 and a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in 1996. He is a member of the State Bars of New York and California.

 


Cristina Dolan, Founder, OneMain.com

In the early days of the Internet, MIT Media Lab alumna Cristina Dolan co-founded OneMain.com, which grew to be the tenth largest ISP after a successful IPO. At OneMain, Cristina served as the provider's Geographic Communities Division President and Strategic Alliances Officer. In only five months, she conceived and built the OneMain cornerstone, Geographic Communities, into a profitable business. At its launch, the company's IPO became the largest Internet public offering at its time, surpassing Amazon's and eBay's respective IPOs.

Later in her career, Cristina would act as President and CEO on the board of the venture-backed Wordstream, where she raised financing and closed initial sales. She has also held executive roles at IBM and Oracle where she led sales, business development, and product marketing and won numerous leadership and sales awards. She was a senior executive in lead technology roles on the founding teams that launched the first Hearst Magazine site (HomeArts) and several ABC/Disney Internet properties. Cristina has been an investor and adviser to several start-ups and MIT spin-outs and was a Rudyard Partners General Partner.

In October 2013, Cristina launched Dream it. Code it. Win It., a non-profit organization to promote computer science education and reward creativity in the field with over $70,000 in cash and prizes. Traders Magazine honored Cristina for her efforts in 2014 with a Charitable Works Award for the program.

Cristina is an officer of the MIT Enterprise Forum and a member of the MIT Alumni Association Selection Committee. She has a Master of Media Arts and Science from the MIT Media Lab, where she also took business courses at MIT Sloan and Harvard Business School. Cristina also holds a Masters of Computer Science Engineering and a Bachelors of Electrical Engineering with concentrations in Computer Science, Communications Technologies, and Business. Currently, Cristina serves as the Head of Corporate Marketing and the Head of Content and Communications Products at TradingScreen, a software company serving institutional financial traders.

 


James P. McCauley, Jr., President & CEO, Income & Asset Advisory, Inc.

James P. McCauley, Jr is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Income & Asset Advisory, Inc. and is also the principal of J.P. McCauley & Co. Ltd. which he founded in 1982. Jim earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology/ Human Relations and an MBA in Finance with honors from Pace University. He has extensive experience in the financial services industry. He began his career in 1974 as a Registered Representative with a large mutual fund company. In 1978, he moved to the Equitable Life Insurance Company having Corporate Pension Investment Sales as his responsibility. In late 1981 he decided to return to individual investments management while continuing to consult and service corporate pension clients. Upon the incorporation of J.P. McCauley & Co. Ltd, in 1982, he focused mostly on servicing a portfolio of approximately two hundred and fifty clients and retirement plans. Jim served in the US Army from 1966 to 1971 as a Captain in US Army Special Forces serving two tours in Vietnam. He was awarded the Bronze Star, three Army Commendation Medals, one for Valor, as well as other medals. He is a past president of the Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 49, and a member since 1986 and he was also a member of the Veterans Advisory Council at the Montrose VA.

 


Ian E Scott, Managing Director, Scott Legal Services, P.C.

Ian E. Scott is a Harvard Law School Graduate, lawyer and author of Law School Lowdown: Secrets of Success from the Application Process to Landing Your First Job. (Barron's Publishing)  Mr. Scott is also a Certified Public Accountant (C.P.A.) and obtained his M.B.A from the University of Toronto.  Prior to law school, Mr. Scott worked at an international investment bank (Credit Suisse) in New York structuring business transactions and providing consultation on deal structures.  As an attorney, Mr. Scott worked as a corporate transactional lawyer in the law firm Cleary Gottlieb (a top Wall Street Firm) and is currently the Managing Director of Scott Legal Services, P.C., a law firm specializing in Investor Immigration Visas and New Business set-up.  Mr. Scott has been featured and seen in many publications including; Forbes, Bloomberg, The New York Times, Super Lawyers, The Huffington Post, The American Bar Association, Business Insider, The New York Bar Association, Harvard University, Above the Law, Lexis/Nexis, The Student Appeal Journal,  Lawyerist, & other Journals.  Mr. Scott lives in Manhattan, New York, with his spouse and two lovely daughters.
