Rohit Arora, Co-Founder and CEO, Biz2Credit

Rohit Arora, CEO and co-founder of Biz2Credit, is one of the country’s leading experts in small business finance.  He has extensive experience in financial services and the issues facing startups and growing small businesses across the globe.  In 2011, he was named New York City's “Top Entrepreneur” by Crain’s New York Business and meets regularly with top executives from the Federal Reserve, SBA, and the White House on topics related to small business finance. 

Rohit is frequently quoted about small business lending topics  in media such asBloomberg Radio,  Bloomberg BusinessWeek, Reuters, The Wall St. Journal, Washington Post, New York Times, Fortune, Forbes, TheStreet.com, Entrepreneur, American Banker, Crain’s NY Business, Credit Union Times, and elsewhere.  He writes about small business finance for FOX Business Small Business CenterSmallBizTrends.com, NewJerseyNewsroom.com, and NY Enterprise Report, among others.

Rohit oversees all strategic initiatives and the development of Biz2Credit’s web platform that now matches 1.6 million members with 1,200+ lending institutions based on financial criteria that the small business owners provide.  Since its inception in 2007, Biz2Credit has arranged more than $1 billion in funding for start-ups and small-to-medium sized businesses and handles an average of more than 6,000 new loan applications each month.

Previously, Rohit was part of the strategy practice for Deloitte Consulting. He also has worked at Goldman Sachs and Silkroute, a Singapore-based private equity fund.  The Indian native was an advisor to UN Council for Trade and Development in the area of small businesses and emerging markets.  He holds a MBA in International Finance from Columbia Business School and co-authored Beyond Cost Reduction: The Risks and Rewards of Global Service Sourcing, a research report funded by the Alfred Sloan Foundation and the Chazen Institute of International Business at Columbia.

Rohit is helping American-based businesses expand in India. He has been instrumental in bringing in major banks, credit rating agencies, and other partners to the Biz2Credit platform.
